Tui Na

Tui na means "pushing grasping," and is a powerful form of Chinese medical bodywork. Based on the same Oriental medical principles as acupuncture, tui na seeks to improve the flow of qi through the meridian channels. Tui na is particularly effective for conditions involving muscles, tendons and joints, such as structural misalignment, orthopedic problems and sports injuries. It can also be used to treat internal diseases.

Korean Hand Therapy

Korean Hand Therapy or KHT is a complete healing modality in itself.  Created by Dr. Yoo in the 70's and 80's the primary principle is that the hand is a microcosmic replica of the whole body and can be treated thus as an adjunct to Traditional Chinese Medicine.  For pain treatment the effect is nearly instantaneous.  It is suitable for those individuals who wish to avoid the use of traditional acupuncture needles.

Ch'i Testing

Ch'i Testing is a unique process developed by Dr. Robert Carpenter,  D.O.M.  as a tool to maximize clinical efficiency. Through a  process of scanning and weighing subtle ch'i flows of the person's energy field the function and nature of the body's imbalance or disease are made clear. Ch'i Testing is simply accessing through the sense of touch what was absent from sight, the whole intelligence  of the mind and body through kinetic energy. Lastly, Ch'i Testing alleviates the educated guessing of which modalities ( Acupuncture, KHT, Clinical Aromatherapy, Electrical Stimulation, etc. ) are best suited to bring about the healing response for the patient's condition.

Moxibustion involves the heating of acupuncture points with smoldering mugwort herb (known as moxa). Moxibustion stimulates circulation, counteracts cold and dampness in the body, and promotes the smooth flow of blood and qi. This safe, non-invasive technique may be used alone, but it is generally used in conjunction with acupuncture treatment.

Dao Yin Ch'i Gung Subtle Body Yoga

Dao Yin Ch'i Gung translates to lead and guide energy training of the physical and subtle bodies. Ch'i Gung generates and projects the earth's gravity force through the meridians, marma points, chakras and auric field (subtle body anatomy) for detoxification and healing. Subtle Body Yoga (Kriya yoga) is awareness in action that facilitates the expression of the Spiritual Warrior qualities of mindful intention, breath regulation and actualization of stillness through the economy of motion. Dao Yin Ch'i Gung Subtle Body Yoga is characterized by simple elegant movement, stretching and pulling, quiet breathing, visual imagery, and toning of the primordial sound " So Heng Ha ".
